I have at this point removed the head, following a somewhat failed (or got impatient) attempt to replace the possibly suspected valve stem seals, only to have more questions than answers.
it is so unbelievably dirty in there so soon from all the oil burning! it must be coming from either the valves/seals/guides or the intake somehow. once its all together again, im going to disconnect the PCV system completely to try and rule that out as well
