old dealers or perhaps independent shops that might have the key cutting equipment from a dealer so keys can be cut from the VIN?
My keys are worn enough that just cutting a new one from the old copy isn't going to be any better than the old one. So I'm curious if as the dealers were going away anyone may have bought that equipment.
And an old question also about keys. What were the original ones, brass or steel? Which would hold up longer, and what material are the ones you see on Ebay (Ilco brand or the like)?
Mark :-)
