Of course, that's always good advice.
But in this case I mean don't restrict your search to the immediate area. The rear seat floor is the lowest part of the pan and water leaking in up front can make its way there.
You don't say whether it leaks in more when car is driven in rain than when it's parked. If more when driven, look to wheel wells.
They can rust through at front of rear wheel well, even when undercoat sort of makes the area look solid, and water will get forward into the floor pan.
Solve it soon, rainy season is coming.
