1990 side marker lights/central door lock issue Posted by SaabStalker [Email] (#1098) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SaabStalker) on Tue, 8 Sep 2015 22:41:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Had the drivers side front door off my 90 sedan and there are two electrical issues occurring since the door was replaced; likely from the electrical harness bundle for the drivers side door. Both side marker light won't come on with park or headlights. All other lights are on. The side marker lights seem to be using the same fuse as the radio. Radio works so fuse should be OK. Two. The central door locking relay operated from the drivers side door lock operates intermittently. In the morning when its cool it doesn't operate the other 3 door locks or trunk. In the afternoon when the car is hot, all the locks operate. I did notice a significant amt of corrosion on the connector pins. Perhaps I'll go back and clean each individual pin and receiver as the plastic plug ins have become rather non functional and I am just using the pins and receiver for each wire independently; and yes I insulated each wire pin connector from the other.
