Some may be a little rusty on heads and exposed threads but these aren't meant to come loose or part and they rarely if ever do. Buy new ones if you want but don't expect the fasteners to be the cause of rattles.
I know some C900 suspension fasteners are SAE, not metric. I'm thinking ball joint bolts for instance. Pull one nut off, take it to a hardware store, and figure it out.
You probably know that a really common cause for rattles is a loose or mis-aligned exhaust system.
