I regularly take 2000 mi(RT) trips in my 87 900t with 220,000mi and have had numerous brake downs to include: Alternator (I now carry an extra regulator),clutch slave blew seal(I inspect for leaks before trips,fuel pre-pump, crankshaft seal & tire. I also carry an ignition module & ignition switch,tools and fluids.Inspect,and listen to your car before and during the trip. I like AAA Plus with 100mi free tow/trip interruption reimbursement(I have used this several times). I was unable to repair the clutch or crank seal myself on the road.Bring your BENTLEY repair manual & a list of your favorite Saab parts suppliers.Have a great trip!
