If the car has been sitting for a while, the contact on the back of the radio could be a little corroded. When you hit the brakes, the weight of the radio moves it in the cage and you lose contact momentarily. My assumption anyway.
The stalling and no-start sounds like it may be a crank position sensor on its way out, or possibly an ignition amplifier going bad.
Others have mentioned the clutch issues. Your seals may have dried out if the car has been sitting for some time.
