Yeah, interesting gallery. I like the photo of the wheel sans tire and the battery meltdown. Both have happened to me. Ironically, I just did the front brake pads on my VW Rabbit (early '90s) when my dad came down to the garage and said there was an SPG for sale in a newspaper classified. So I got all excited and forgot to tighten the lug nuts when I lowered the car. Also missed the sale by 5 minutes (some guy bought it our from under me). So driving back to Omaha from Minneapolis I was only 30 miles away that evening when the severe wobbling and then flying tire occured. Thank God the wheel/tire didn't hit anyone on the interstate (11 PM Sunday night..."east of Omaha"). Good to know though the the car was still steerable using the brake rotor on one side!
Battery explosion happened when I forgot the charger was hooked up when I turning the key...boom. Cloud of sulfuric acid drifting through the neighborhood.
As to your transmission Gary? Haven't got a clue. My best advice is that you may want to email CMyles.
