Yeah, could be the expansion coil, could be the overheat sensor, could be the clutch slipping. I ran into this problem on a 9-3, and used a 12v LED and some LONG wire from the engine bay back to the cabin to diagnose. With the LED connected to the pressure switch, I could see if or when it tripped. With the LED connected to the compressor clutch coil I could see if or when it stopped energizing. Everything was working, but still no AC. That left the clutch itself, which was marginal and would work when cold, but started slipping when it got hot. New clutch, problem solved. :)
