Thanks for the suggestions. I pulled out the slave and ordered 2 new sets of of O rings this morning. I never did get the spacer out, so that is not an issue. Maybe I should do the three fat nut method and remove the spacer after I get everything in place and after bleeding, before I mess with the brake pedal. If I do that, and the system is bled, then I can press down on the pedal, and don't run the risk of blowing out the seal, correct? Is it the pressure of the fingers on the throw out bearing that keeps the slave from over extending under normal operation?
