The turbo models are not the only way to go imo. I owned several from 8V "H" engine Turbo models to later 16V Turbo models. My last 900 was a '92 900S. I lowered it with Kilen springs & added a set of 9K wheels. Replaced the exhaust with the turbo model, a bolt in swap. Car was fun to drive & dead reliable. Since selling it six years ago, I still hear from the current owner who loves it. Over 200K miles on it's odometer with lot of life left in it. If you have to travel to get what you want then do so. Last one I bought was 1K miles away. Had a Saab shop do a couple of things & I flew down then drove it home without a problem. Not bad for a car that was 25 years old or perhaps young at that time. A/C blew cold too! Buy the best example you can afford & enjoy the experience.
