Does the car need to be inspected annually or every two years? As it only takes a couple of days (or less) to swap over to Trionic 5.5, would anyone be willing to do the swap right after the inspection, then swap it back before the next inspection? The most difficult part, for me at least, was removing the old wire harness, and installing the new harness. Nothing needs to be cut, so it can be swapped out completely. If you do the flywheel, it can stay, you can also leave the AMM installed while running T5. I live in upstate NY and my classic 900s don't get any actual testing, no tailpipe, no visual, etc. I have two 89 SPGs and one 91 convertible that are converted to Trionic 5.5. I machine my own flywheels.
