As in "I don't think it's a true Comm Ed" or "This thing has had major work done"?

The VIN is for a Comm Ed. That being said, there were a buttload of Saab 900 convertibles made. Parts could have been swapped from other verts if the car doesn't have all the Comm Ed bits.

My first Comm Ed had all the right stuff, including the VIN, but upon further inspection, it had been scabbed together from 3 different C900s. I found out that it had a tree come down on it with only 10K on the odo when it was a relatively new car. Someone rebuilt it keeping the Comm Ed VIN and special parts. When I pulled the carpets to take the floor rusters out, there was a weld across the whole car in the back footwell.
