Nothing bad about that.

Many years ago, a friend loaned me his rusty '85 base-model 900. It was the sweetest 900 I'd ever driven. It would cruise all day long at 85 to 90 MPH.

Back to the car issue. Vern may be right about it being a fuel issue.. But, just for the heck of it, if you have a spare distributor available, swapping it in could eliminate one possibility. Ditto for cap and rotor.

I'm adding 8-valve to the subject line in hopes that one of our 8-valve specialists might chime in.
