ICU timing advance on turbos? I was under the impression that the C900 turbo has fixed timeing other than the timing adjustment made by the AID. Over the years I have read a good amount about these cars and nowhere have I read anything about any timing variance based on RPM. Normally distributors have what is referred to as a centrifugal advance. This is basically a device within the distributor with weights and springs that mechanically advice the timing as the RPMs increase. The C900 turbo has no such device.
It has been many years, but what I remember from when I installed my MSD Boost Timing Master, the stock ignition timing did not vary with RPM.
My statements are based on my knowledge of the car and my experience. If I am wrong, please point me in the right direction so I can read up on the ignition controller. I only thought the later naturally aspirated cars had a timing control system that was more advanced. Their system also used a knock sensor to advance timing.
Assuming I am wrong, what does our base timing cure look like?
