What size injections are you running with that setup? How is the idle?
I have a similar setup on my car. The trans never died because the motor blew the new head gasket and got low compression before there were any transmission issues.
My setup is the Swedish Dynamics red injectors (30lb) with 3bar FPR and their eprom. It also has a SD T3/T4 turbo, SD cams, free flowing exhaust (stock down pipe & cat), methanol injection with Devil’s Own controller. I also have an MSD BTM that needs to be put back in. One of the local Saab repair shops literally hacked it out of the car when it was in my friend’s possession (they removed the injectors to). They were having trouble diagnosis an idling issue and wanted to remove some variable. Their end diagnosis was vacuum leaks combined with low compression.
Something that never was implemented was Sprite-Second’s PSC 1 that has been sitting in my garage for around 8 years. It’s basically the MAF signal calibrator that is the fuel portion of your unit. When I bought it, they had not offered ignition timing modulation (as far as I could find on their website).
Something that will need to be wired into the MAF meter with the PSC 1 is a relay to close the original circuit so the MAF hot wire burn off function continues to work. Without the original circuit being closed, it will trigger a check engine lite. If it is easily accessible & if you would not mind, I would like to known the brand and part number of the relay Brad used to complete the circuit. I could not find specifics on the SS control unit Brad used on your car, but if it is one that runs additional injectors it will not have that relay.
Alternatively I could just do the T5 conversation that everyone has been talking about. The last time I had worked on this car, I had not read about anybody doing one of those on a C900...
I still needed to do a front mount intercooler, but had been holding out for a ready made solution that would allow me to keep my AC. I think that do88 unit allows for that on the facelifted C900.
Now that I have the car back, I would like to round out the mods and make it a good driver. Hopefully over time I can resort it as well.
