The issue is driveability issues--low rpm idle, no power--in a 1984 turbo engine with apc, installed in a 1983 carb car, thus the wiring harness is rather non-standard. To get it running, the ground side of the pulse generator in the lambda circuit is grounded-out so it is constantly 'one,' rather than 55% duty cycle as in the apc system normally. It runs fine at a richer condition. The ECU gets no juice, although I did patch up all the wires at the connector next to main fuse box that lives in the well between firewall and fender. Since I am not altogether confident in the wiring, I can only presume that somewhere there is a bad ground or lack of. I did repalce the ground strap to battery and clean up all the ground bits that same. It ran fine until stranding me in Grants Pass, Oregon a few daysd ago. I guess what I need to do is just hunt through the wires and cvheck continuity to all the wires leading to ecu. Some people have suggested that a connector somewhere is loose or corroded. Apart from all the fried wires, which I reinsulated, and tried sans fake ground to pulse generator, all the other connectors appear intact. Curious sort of problem, one that can be solved, if one spent time. The thought is that this might have been a problem for someone else in the past?
