900T Conv ... 1993 and about 125K, I am the second owner and had the car since 2008. Well maintained and has actually never stranded me before.

First warm day of the year in California today and the car started and barely idled. Pushing the gas pedal did not really help and could not get to high RPM.

After an hour or so (waiting for a AAA tow) just cranked and no start or firing at all.

I am mentally jumping to fuel pump as it is original and the car was totally ok and passes Calif smog easily. A little residual pressure in the system to do the initial start was my guess.

Obviously it is spark or fuel, so I have some questions for the experts on here.

1. Do any of the cheapo Harbor Freight adapters for a fuel pressure gauge fit. Is there an attach point on the fuel rail?

2. The low tech way used to be to crank it a lot and then see if the plugs were wet with gas. Is this still sensible?

3. For spark I would normally pull a plug and look to see if there was a spark while cranking. This car did have a coil (transformer technically) replaced many years ago for something similar. That was more misfire under load though.

3. I am assuming as it does not even fire, while being cranked that the AMM is not really a suspect as it would go into limp home mode regardless. I guess no spark would be coil, CPS or the rather stone age computer?

I never thought I would ever say this ... but this is one where a Tech II on my 2005 9-3SS would be a quicker fix! Lazy I know.
