It's not glue (at least as we would normally think of glue) at the bottom of the inner door seal. It's dumdum strip caulk (or whatever it was called in Swedish when these cars were made.) Basically, it's a thick, non-hardening grey rubbery type caulk that sticks to the inner door metal and to the plastic door seal. Follow the link below to get a better idea of what it is.
The clips that you have to trim will come off with the trim strip.
