Tightening it while at neutral position seems more reasonable.
I just removed the ball joint, shock and sway bar from the other side which on my 1 owner car has never been removed. It's neutral position was at least 25 degrees BELOW the horizontal plane of the underside of the car. Now it will come up some when the weight is on the wheels but it's never above the horizontal plane of the underside.
I think the Saab manual and Bentley (which sounds like it just has a reprint of the not awesome picture from the Saab manual) got it backwards. It's a weird drawing too with the brackets at an angle, not the arm.
If I were to mount it as the manuals say, the bushing would be under 40 degrees or so of flex while in the neutral position, that just sounds wrong.
What do you think Cmyles??
