Got a request today for the tapered pin. Found a bare one in my 5speed box. It has somewhat coarse threads. Looked for a nut but didn't find anything in my assorted metric bucket. Went to my standard supply. Found a Nylock nut that feels perfect. That nut fits a 3/8" wrench. Didn't size the pin threads but it looks to be 12-24. Huh? Could that be right? I remember having some tapered pins that were fine thread. I wonder what they were. All the pin nuts I've wrenched were 8mm. Or maybe they were 5/16"? Anyone have more detailed info?
