Yes. The solonoid clicked as it should after I installed the isolated connectors and it did get me off of base boost. But it only got me up to 8psi from 5. I have a much longer thread on the boards trying to work that one out.
To cut a long story short, I found a split intake pipe, a bad recirculation,(hooter) valve and some dodgy vacuum hose connections. I also found that on my car plug gap is very important. My engine likes .63mm plug gap on NGK 7’s. I’m now seeing 10psi on my gauge. (Near end of yellow). My turbo is making a terrible siren noise under boost, so that’s going to be sent out and solved next. (Thinking it’s bearing issues due to wheels that are out of balance).
Sometimes to solve these things it just takes time and patience to test. My Bentley manual has helped me tremendously in this over the nearly 5 years I’ve been working on my car!! That and the incredibly knowledgeable and generous people on this board.
