Sixty-three ft/lbs sounded a little high to me so I checked my Saab factory service manual section 2.1 1981-88 version and it shows (on page 022-14) that the correct torque for those 10 mm flywheel bolts is 59 Nm or 44 lbs/ft. I've never snapped any off, always use old used ones and just coat them with medium strength (blue) Loctite, never had a leak from one. Where did you find that 63 ft/lbs spec.?
I can look in older and newer FSM's but I don't believe that that spec. ever changed?
