The head gasket isn't too terrible a job to tackle if you're mechanically inclined. (I replaced a cylinder head on one of my C900s ages ago.)

Unfortunately the C900's one-piece body makes repair of rusted fenders a tough proposition. I have a badly-rusted front fender on one of my 9000s but if I were able to find a good used one it could just be bolted into place. On the C900 you're looking at a welding job. There used to be patch panels available but I expect these days they are NLA, so you'd need to find rust-free parts cut from a junkyard car down south or out west and find someone willing to do the welding. (Of course on just about any car, fixing rusted rear fenders means cutting and welding.)
