The green stuff turns acidic after about a year and starts eating at the copper tubes. Would suggest that Mercedes Benz antifreeze be used after replacing the radiator, bout the same price as the green stuff. MB antifreeze is buffered and will make radiators and headgaskets last longer and cuts down on the "electrolytic corrosion" on the block. Especially if the old copper headgaskets are still present. Three different metals compressed together with moisture present creates a mini battery causing pitting on the block and sometimes the head. Saab official fix for this issue is JB Weld to fill the pitting.
