working on cold injector issues. Testing the thermo-time switch that's between 2 and 3 intake.
Just making sure I did this correctly... I used the submerged in water method.
at 40F I got 35.7 ohms
at 150F I got 75 ohms
to me this looks like a bad switch. Bentley says this one should be closed when cold and open around 110F. Does this mean I should see continuity between pins when cold and closed? because it fails the continuity test. Also, does this supply ground or voltage to the injector during cold cranking? Reading Bentley makes me feel like this is a switched ground component, but during cranking I get 9.5-10 volts on one of the plug connectors. Definitely confused at this point. I assumed it supplied cold voltage but then when hot switch opens and cuts it, or is that voltage there to heat an element up during cold cranking which then opens the switch after a bit of time /and not to power cold injector?
