thanks simon, but it doesn't matter to me if the assembly has the integrated sending unit. all that i need is very the top plastic piece/ disk that has the built in female connections for the fuel line check valves and the 4 pin electrical connection (1 pin for pump voltage, 1 pin for ground-the other 2 pins are for the sending unit which, as you said, don't get used with a classic 900). the top plastic disk can easily be popped off of the metal support, and transplanted to a different fuel pump assembly. i can't find a used assembly from a c900, so i am hoping to find one from another model that will work. i think that model year 94-98 ng900's have the same top disk, but i am wondering if more models/years are the same, since the same check valves seem to fit a variety of models, besides the classic 900's.

due to zoning technicalities, the city recently made the local salvage yard close down, and get rid of all the cars he had. i didn't know this until i was looking for parts recently. he sent at least 30 c900's to the crusher, which makes part hunting for me a bit harder. what a bummer to lose all those parts.
