Small screwdrivers on each side of the connector or needlenose pliers to help pull it out. If you have corrosion and melted parts going on, these may hinder an easy removal. I occasionally have the brake lights go out on one of my 92's, and it usually takes just a wiggle of the connector to get them working again.
