thanks everyone ...

going to dis-assemble the console, boil some water and try the remove sugar test ... blow dryer at the ready. going to find the removal tool, someone in my area has one. strong Saab group in north carolina. anyone Charlotte, Asheville, or Durham? .. give a shout.

forgot about the switch bypass ... kudos ... that will get me started .. well once I replace the fuel pump.

Gjetson .. normally you can turn the key without being in reverse on the 900 .. you just can't remove it. mine won't budge.
