Sorry to not be clearer. On both sides of the bottom of the vehicle are structural "boxes" integrated into the body that run between the wheel wells, front to back. The side jacking points are beneath them. Another way of visualizing them is that they are also essentially the door sills -- pull the carpet up and you can see the top of them. Beneath the car, just behind the front wheel wells, each side has a rubber drain that is angled backward so as not to allow spray up into the rail. If you pull the drain, the hole drilled into the metal is perhaps 5/8" or so. I've seen several cars that no longer have the drains.
Prior to discovering that one side was collecting water and the drain was blocked, I could very clearly hear water sloshing back and forth.
