Hopefully you have an original heater control valve. The first thing I would do is order a pro Parts one remove the seals out of it put the seals in the original one and then put it back together, I know that doesn't sound like that makes any sense but the aftermarket ones are not made like the original ones are. Mostly just focus on the seals that you can get to. Look really close and make sure that the O-ring that is inside the shaft is not leaking if it's not then don't worry about replacing that one at all those tend to not leak for the most part. Just pay attention how everything comes apart when you remove all of the seals on the inside of it so it goes back together, I put a little o-ring Lube on everything so everything moves nice and easy after you've rebuilt that one. I take the knee bolster off I remove the center part in front of the gear shifter take all of that stuff out of the way and then I remove the hoses from the engine bay and remove the plastic cover over the heater core and I remove the heater core and the heater core valve all in one. Be careful when pulling it down the vacuum lines and the little chain from the cruise control can get caught on it but you can move all that stuff out of the way and the whole entire thing will come out in one piece. I don't think I forgot anything. Check over the heater core and make sure the heater core doesn't have a hole in it definitely clean the heater core itself out if it seems like there's a lot of stuff in it maybe throw some CLR in it and wash it around and get any stuff in there out. Best of luck let us know how it goes. I actually did this exact procedure I'm telling you about a couple of weeks ago on one of my 900s so far it has not leaked. I took a pro Parts heater core took it apart put everything back together in an original heater core valve best of luck.
