Flexible turbo Oil return line? Posted by freecirc [Email] (#3243) [Profile/Gallery] (more from freecirc) on Mon, 15 May 2023 19:25:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi Fellow Saabers,
I have a 1989 SPG that I rebuilt the engine for back at the first of the year.
She's been running well other than internal and external oil leaks at my rebuilt t3/t4 hybrid which have dropped the overall oil pressure in the engine, especially at warm idle. I have rebuilt this thing like 4 times over about 15 years, and it is ready to be retired so I purchased a GT2860rs (Disco Potato) and have just about all the fittings i need for the oil and water lines to replace the OE stuff.
EXCEPT the oil return line.
I couldv'e sworn that some of you have done this swap, or installed a modern turbo with AN lines, and I would like to know if anyone has tackled this particular thing sans leaks. I've always disliked the hard line, but appreciate how simple it is and how well it works when everything is dialed in. If I could've used if for my GT28, I would've, but the bolt holes are different and leaks would likely ensue.
Thoughts out there on this?
