Foam! Foam on the Range... Posted by philwags [Email] (#37) [Profile/Gallery] (more from philwags) on Sun, 11 Jun 2023 05:40:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
As many of you have already done, I am in the throes of replacing the heater core valve in my 92-900. Does anyone have suggestions on what to use (or what not to use) in replacing the foam insulation that goes around the lower heater box? Mine was nothing but dry brittle dust. Is it just something available from the hardware store like home door insulation or does it need to be more specific? I assume it should be something that won't collect moisture and has some tolerance for heat - just not sure what that is. Additionally, is there a good resource for the paper hose that feeds into that lower box, it didn't survive the effort. :(
Thanks!
