No turbo boost gauge reading Posted by DDJ [Email] (#3297) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DDJ) on Mon, 10 Jul 2023 17:19:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi everyone,
1984 8v 900 Turbo, boost gauge completely dead. The vacuum line coming from the intake manifold has vacuum and runs through the firewall to some sort of regulator(?) beneath the dash on the drivers side. From there, a second line runs to the boost gauge. This line has no vacuum at all. The back side of this regulator (if that's what it is), has three small adjusting screws. Does anyone know what this device is and what the issue might be? If I connect the vacuum line from the manifold directly to the boost gauge, it shows pressure, but even when revving hard the needle never gets into the boost range on the gauge. That's why I assume this little plastic device is some sort of regulator.
Any information or advice would be deeply appreciated!
David
