Phew! That's actually comforting to hear then as I know Rob knows his stuff, and I plan on changing the oil very often with this transmission - it also has a steel dif cover with cooler connections that will help with heat dissipation. I guess I've had my opinion tainted by the classic posts on forums about guys going though transmissions like I go through Pringles: one after another till they've all but vanished. I knew I wanted to spend (or "invest") money upfront for a strong unit vs going through a bunch of stock transmissions as I know that parts are becoming very difficult/near impossible to find, as well as that hopefully this one will at least be somewhat cost effective in the long run.
Now, I don't plan on doing anything too insane (famous last words) and hope to run close to maybe the high end of the 200s with a Trionic 5 tuned setup... I haven't a clue at this point. For now the final setup list is still in the air as I finish another restoration that jumped its place in line. No worries there as that one's staying stock minus the head swap to "borrow" the better flowing B212 head/intake runners for the SPG. Again, glad to hear I don't have to start saving up for a decade for a dogbox (and possibly a CNC machine haha). Thanks for lending some experienced advice!
