One transmission upgrade worth considering for a higher than stock horsepower C900 would be a limited slip differential (LSD). This would limit shock loading of pinion bearings when a spinning wheel finally grabs. The only LSD that was available for the C900 is the Torsen gear type made by Quaife in the UK, but probably not in stock. The LSD is unnoticed for street use, until it's needed. However, at highway speeds, it will cause car to pull toward the wheel which has more traction, which can cause loss of control.
