Hello,
I have never seen an incorrect vin designation from the factory. The conversion in these cars is pretty straight forward since the cars were made to be either. To install the clutch master cylinder the hole is in the firewall you remove the plug they have there and install the master cylinder. I think even the wires that used to be connected to the neutral safety switch come out cleanly. It is sort of like the fog lights. Every car had the wiring in it. Just needed to add the switch and the foglights with brackets. The more important question is going to be the numbers off the manual transmission to figure out what year for potential improvements made over the years. Good Luck, Bernie
