The new tripod bearings are just fine, made by GKN same as the OEM ones. Of course this only applies to the large, late (1986>) ones. The small, early ones haven't been available new for many years. Like I said, you can't always tell if a tripod bearing is shot without looking at the spindles where the needles roll so be careful with those old tripod assemblies.
