I repeated the bearing replacement this weekend in rapid fashion due to my new familiarity with the process.

I remembered I have a bottle-jack on a garage shelf and utilized that with a carefully positioned new-bearing knuckle and some large sockets which match the inner "sleeve" of the bearing. I fashioned a makeshift bench press when it came time to press the hub into the new bearing using the bottle jack and a pull-up bar in my backyard area. The hub pressed on so smoothly that I thought I had done something wrong.

After full re-assembly, the test drive proved the repair was successful. Lots of other things spotted as wrong so I'm at the start of a considerable list. But this was the big one for me.
