Hoping somebody can help - I have a 1993 900S - so for a few months I've noticed a kind of hollow sounding "knock" that seems to occur when either I run over a bump in the road or accelerate from a stop (or sometimes slowing down) - the knock seems to be coming from where the rear passenger side shock is bolted to the inside of the wheel well - or seems to be inside the body panel just behind the rear passenger window. I've been under the car and poked around and everything seems tight and secure - no loose bolts (that top shock bolt and bushing are tight). as i said, it's an occasional hollow sounding knock that can occur from accelerating from a stop, sometimes decelerating too, and sometimes when i hit a bump. and from my position in the driver's seat, sounds like something maybe shifting in the body panel near or below the rear window? i was convinced it was the rear shock but i don't thing necessarily so. any other ideas what I could look for? much appreciated! thanks!
