Besides the torque arms (one at each rear wheel), there's the panhard rod which is a similar link but running parallel with the rear axle and connecting from car body upper left to rear axle lower right.
Each of these "arms" has two bushings kinda similar to the front A-arm bushings.
The bushings decay and rot over time and you might be getting small (or large?) amount of play during the weight shifts of acceleration or deceleration.
There are other bushings in the rear axle area: the spring-link arms have bushings as well as your plain 'ole shocks.
Lots of possibility in the rear suspension area for worn or end-of-life bushings that will generate odd sounds.
