Hey tonight I tried what you said about the heating of my '91 900 S. It idled for about 6 minutes and then gauge was right at 40% when fans cycled. I let them cycle for 3 times. Then I put the heater on full. The temp dropped to about 1/8 and stayed there. When I turned heater knob off, within 4 minutes it was back to 40%.
Just for fun I put the AC on WITH full heat, just to see how low the temp would go.(Both external fans on, and blowing hot air inside car). The gauge only dipped below 1/8, a VERY little bit.
What kind of problems specifically should I be aware of?
Also, should I replace t-stat in winter w/ 92deg and 82 deg in winter?? Living here in Melboure, (Central Florida, USA) on the east coast it does not usually get below 45-50 deg at the worst of winter. Although, during summer it gets upwards of 100-105deg.
Thank you very much,
Justin
