these days i mix my own. 8 oz hyperlube. 8 oz marvel. lately i have been using penzoil ultra synth blend as the base. probably will go to castol syntec now that engine is broken in or even a good true synth, royal purple maybe but i just don't like how thin the mobil one types. anyway with my filter i can go close to 10k miles before changes. at 7 right now with just the synth blend and it still looks really good. i use to use valvoline racing single weight the valvoline turbo oil. with new engine the clearances are tighter so I can use 30w but it is hard to find straight weights in a good oil. theses bbs blokes are funny about lubes....the truth is that the regular abuse heaped on turbo and trans makes any oil likely to get blamed for failure. i am so impressed with that amsoil dual remote filter i put on at last rebuild. saab turbos should have gotten those as standard equipment. my oil just never gets dirty. i really should send some in for analysis just in case i am fooled by passing the old touch and smell test that most turbo oils fail at around 3500 miles. hanging out down in LA these days. one of these days i'll wander up to SPG9 up the road a touch.
