yeah,i ran a Spearco waterspray which kicked on at 8psi(you can adjust to any desired boost level)-and it works very well as an alternative to a front mounted intercooler-i use the washer resovoir as supply-i did notice quite a difference(seat 'o the pants)with the spray and front bumper removed from my 86t(which is now all beat up from crash damage & i've been searching for a nice 86 spg to exploit)-i dig rally cars and think if a particular component is used in racing applications, then it will be suitable for a fast roadcar-lotsa rally cars use intercooler watersprays & itsa very simple solution to reduce charge air intake-one of Lancias old group B rally cars actually used a supercharger in conjunction w/ a turbocharger-wow!what about that...i've been looking for a Subaru type waterspray system for my "new" spg...the two sources i've found so far are:
mrtrally.com.au(aussies again!) & grahamgoode.com(under eng parts)...also check out arietta motorsports rally saab(for sale) at user.aol.com/rallymech/home/info/saabpix1.htm....i plan on installing lexan or perspex windows(both sides & hatchglass)..i'm going to go for lightweight as much as possible...1986 turbo listed by manufacturer at 2681lbs.(unsure about spg)..the first thing i'm going to do when i get my spg is weigh it then challenge myself w/ as much weight reduction as i can achieve(call me crazy)...but i'm looking forward to finding out what weight i can get it down to.....
