both 18 year olds and 48 year olds make mistakes....>>> Posted by Ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ryan) on Sun, 22 Oct 2000 23:13:01 In Reply to: Good points, all... but - -, Jim Watts, Sun, 22 Oct 2000 12:59:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I would hardly consider myself a 19 eyar old "rocket jocky" rather a driver that likes to drive. I too rolled my saab this summer, on a road i've driven, riden bike (moto and not so moto) down likely 2000+ times. I know every turn very well, but fate caught up with me, and I managed to turn the car into more of the airborne saab varitey(i can only figured it wanted to be a plane again). I too talked away unscathed and everyone i've told is in total disbeleif of what happened.
Many people contributed this to my youth, but i am soon to remeber that a family friend did a similar thing to his 9000. And he's looking to retire in the next decade! Not to mention that, he spent most of his 20's track racing.
I understand that you were trying to prevent those terribly irresponsible teens from running rampant and crashing cars, but please give us a little more credit than grouping us under such a irresponsible souding category. Heed your warning to everyone, not just us.
Anib, i feel for you, Saabs, probably more than most cars, are not just cars to us. Now you get to look forward to the next one. (If you're like me after your crash, you won't want anything else).
