I will check more carefully to see that the base boost is really higher than it's supposed to be before doing anything to the rod. I don't want to mess with it unless I have to.

I get no jerkiness on full throttle, only low or no throttle and primarily in low gears. Changes from full throttle to no throttle and back are particularly jerky, sometimes feels like what happens if you let off the clutch too fast at the wrong RPM.

Not likely that the bypass valve is bad. It sounds perfect and pressure drops *immediately* from 16 psi to 25 in Hg when I let off the gas quickly. The problem was same/worse with the old valve; this is the reason I decided to upgrade in the first place.

Yes, Trionic regulates max boost, but it can only respond so quickly to changes in pressure. A system that spools up much faster than T5 expects will significantly overshoot max boost (an overboost spike) before the computer applys it's control. The same goes if there is a lot of lag in the system (ie very long vacuum hose runs). Anyone who has used a manual boost controller would know what I'm talking about here.

I will keep checking the vacuum lines, but don't know where else to look. The only ones that aren't replaced already run through the false bulkhead, so I suppose that there could be a leak there. The idle is "choppy" -- it seems to pulse a bit. I didn't really notice this until I replaced my motor mounts which increased overall vibrations.
