The '94 & '95 CSE did not require removal of bumper. Simply unbolt the rear tow hook, and bolt the hitch to those holes, and the prethreaded holes in the bumper.
I used a wiring harness from U-Haul for $15 or so. There is a plug inside the left taillight to accept a Saab harness. I bought individual connectors and checked the current on each outlet inside the car. I attached the ground directly to the car body. Beats ~ $100 for the Saab harness.
My '87 had a different style Saab hitch that I did not install. To be honest, I never looked very closely at the installation, though am sure that the tow hook holes were used, and believe that holes were drilled in the spare tire compartment. Sorry, sent the instructions with the car. Is your hitch a Saab original with a ROUND receiver, rather that the square Reese-type? If so, Saab may have those directions that they could fax you.
Perhaps someone with experience on the older style hitch can help.
