Glad to have a use for my Saab Auto Transmission Manual. Your problem is the shift lock solenoid, not the transmission.
1993 to 1994.5 have no manual override for the shift lock. To unlock, you are supposed to provide power to the solenoid "which in its unactivated position locks the selector lever and prevents the selector lever from being released."
The diagram in the manual shows the electrical connector for the solenoid being under the window switch pack. The solenoid itself appears to be attached to the bottom left of the shift mechanism.
The manual also says (cryptically) about the 1993-1994.5: "If, despite all attempts, it is impossible to move the selector lever from position P, it may also be released mechanically." Here's how:
1. Remove the trim on the right side of the centre console;
2. Detach and remove the safety cable from its braket.
3. Remove the front air duct by taking off the plastic clip. Push the air duct forwards in the car and lift it out.
4. Press a screwdriver under the washer on the solenoid pushrod and extract the pushrod forwards in the car.
5. Release the selector lever from Position P.
Good Luck
