9000 engine removal

I have an '87 9000S and am thinking of replacing the automatic transmission. I understand that I have to pull the engine to get the tranny off, but don't know how much work/time it will take. Has anyone done this that can can give me a brief rundown on what I need to do to pull the engine and tranny?
