My 94 Aero was making a noise today in 5th gear when the boost guage went past the yellow and red strips, the shifter started to shake and I could feel the engine shake too, I tihnk it was knocking. I had been using Ultra 94 gas, and once I let off the gas into the yellow AND red zone it was fine. The turbo works fines spools very fast, but for some reason the last two days the gauge will go pretty far into the red zone and then start making noises. Why isn't my trionic system doing anything about this? I haven't had any engine or ecu mods done to the car. Could this just be a bad batch of fuel? Otherwise, when the guage isn't in the red, power and noise and everything else is normal, whats causing the knocking and why am I not protected.
